Too much lawn?
Solution: A half-moon shaped berm or garden mound

My client wanted to add some dimension to the front yard and attract more wild life. This photo was taken three months after creation of her berm.

Yarrow plants were transplanted into the berm along with some newly purchased plants including a red flowering pineapple sage and matilija poppy with large white papier-mache flowers.

We took rocks from the backyard and moved them to the front with a newly planted mirror plant "tequila sunrise." The roses add some nice cutting flowers for my client to use in her home. This one is called Perfume Delight.
